ADULT WAIVER (18 years of age or older)
In consideration of the organisers of this event permitting me to participate in the said event known as "Convex End-To-End", by signing (clicking) 'Agree to waiver', I, on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, executors or executrixes, administrators, successors, and assigns, hereby confirm that I understand the nature of the event and voluntarily assume all risk, waive, and release and forever discharge any and all claims, suits or actions for damages, loss, liability or injury which I may have against the organisers of this event, their affiliates, successors, officers, representatives, partners, agents, their executors or executrixes, volunteers, participants and all other persons in any way involved with the organising, sponsoring, marketing, operating, planning, controlling, directing or administering said walk, cycle, swim, row, and paddle and their respective heirs, servants, agents and assigns for any and all injuries and loss howsoever caused whether as a result of negligence or otherwise which I may sustain while participating in the Convex End-To-End, or as result thereof.
I certify that I am in good health, sufficiently prepared and fit to participate in the Convex End-To-End Event and agree to follow all safety guidance (including wearing a helmet (if a cyclist) or a life vest (if a rower)). As this event follows international SUP standards, everyone entering the paddle boarding event must use a safety ankle or calf leash – buoyancy vests are encouraged but are not required.
By permitting me to participate, I authorise you to use my name, image, likeness, voice and words in television, radio, films, newspapers, magazines, and other media in any form not heretofore described, for the purpose of advertising or communicating the charitable purpose and activities of the Convex End-To-End and appealing for funds to support such activities.
By signing this waiver, I acknowledge and accept that the organisers of the event may collect and store my personal information in their database and may use my personal information for advertisements or marketing communications they believe may be of interest to me, and that in accordance with legal requirements, I have the right of access and rectification that I can exercise in writing with the organisers. I confirm on behalf of myself or the minor party on whose behalf I am signing this waiver, that the participant has the skills necessary to complete this event.
YOUTH WAIVER (under 18 years of age)
By signing (clicking) above, I as parent or guardian, confirm this participant is over the age of 14 and they know where to reach a parent, guardian or responsible adult who has agreed to collect them in case they are unable to complete the route. Alternatively, if they are under the age of 14 and I agree that they will be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult during the Convex End-To-End event.
I understand the requirements of this waiver and as parent or guardian I have signed to show my agreement for the minor's participation in this sponsored Convex End-To-End event. As parent or guardian to the participant, I am accepting and acknowledging, all of the terms of the adult waiver above on behalf of the youth participants and their heirs, executors and executrixes, administrators, successors and assignees.
This agreement and any dispute (including non-contractual disputes) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Bermuda and the parties subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Bermuda courts.
Persons under the age of 18 registering in person at the Convex End-to-End event office must provide a signed waiver before they will be given their event numbers, t-shirts or goodie bags. Persons registering online do NOT need to print and sign a waiver. By clicking 'Agree to waiver' you are agreeing to be bound by its terms and do so freely as part of the online registration process.
